University of Utah Alumni Association records 1908-1974 1908-1957

The Alumni Association was organized in 1886 for graduates of the University. Later, membership was extended to all ex-students to promote a general interest in the cause of education and to perpetuate friendships. Douglas O. Woodruff was Executive Secretary of the Alumni Association from 1927 to 1957. This collection contains meeting minutes, issues of "Alumenos" and "The Alumnus," treasurer's reports, building drive records for the first Union Building, alumni membership cards through 1924, and Alumni Development Fund reports.
